Blount's Offering New Hires Free Clam Cakes, Chowder For a Year
A local company is trying to entice new hires with a very Rhode Island promotion.

WARREN, RI ā A Rhode Island standby is offering a tasty promotion to all new employees this summer: free chowder and clam cakes for a year.
"Come help us make our famous chowder!" Blount Fine Foods' CEO Todd Blount said. "Blount is a special place, and we want to bring new team members into the Blount family with this special gift."
Blount is looking to hire more than 30 people in its Warren, Rhode Island plant. The company will hold a job fair at their 383 Water St. location from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday.

The promotion will apply for new hire who start in July and August. Eligible employees will be able to go across the street to the Blount Clam Shack Market for their daily bowl of chowder, with clam cakes on the side.
