Bristol Moving Fourth of July Concert Series To Roger Williams University
The new location allows for more parking and better accommodations for people with disabilities, the Bristol Fourth of July Committee says.

BRISTOL, RI — The Bristol Fourth of July Concert Series will change locations this year.
The Bristol Fourth of July Committee announced Friday that the annual concerts are moving from Independence Park to Roger Williams University, after voting to make the change last October.
"This decision was made with careful consideration, prioritizing security, safety, and emergency access, as well as accommodations for large crowds," the committee said on its Facebook page. "By relocating to Roger Williams University, we will be able to provide more accessible parking, with over 800 available spaces, and improved accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, the vendor area will be conveniently located near the fields, ensuring an easy and enjoyable experience for all attendees."

According to the committee, the new location will have a new layout, compared to when the concerts were previously at Roger Williams in 2021, because of COVID-19 restrictions making Independence Park an unviable option. The new layout will allow for improved logistics and better flow, according to the committee. The concert series will take place on the upper field, with vendors placed nearby, making food and refreshments easily accessible.
