It's true that when tourists around the globe think about Rhode Island, they think about mainly Newport and Providence. It's only when they come to the Ocean State that they discover there's plenty of things to get interested in in nearly all 39 cities and towns.
Bristol, for instance, is an historic town with waterfront, colonial architecture, museums, shopping and more. It's also known as a vitally important epicenter for national pride, hosting the longest-running and oldest July 4 parade and celebration in the country.

āWith impressive attractions like Blithewold, Mount Hope Farm, Coggeshall Farm, the Herreshoff Marine Museum, Linden Place and Colt State Park, plus terrific restaurants, shops, events and more, this recognition is well warranted,ā agreed Evan Smith, president and CEO of Discover Newport.
