Bristol Police Log: DUI, Assaults, Drunk Man Found in Wrong House

The Bristol Police Department reported the following recent arrests and incidents:

Arrested:

• Mark Saleeba, of 38 Bay State Road, Rehoboth , MA, on charges of DUI, second offense; refusal to submit to a chemical test; and driving with a suspended license, on Feb. 7 at about 1:30 am. He is scheduled for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick, today.
• John Pham, of 101 Delmage Drive, Seekonk, MA, on a charge of simple assault on Feb. 7 at about 12 noon. At his initial arraignment before Justice of the Peace Jay Rego at Bristol Police headquarters, Pham waived extradition. He is scheduled for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick, on Feb. 20.
• Richard Ferreira, of 746 East Road, Tiverton, on a charge of disorderly conduct, on Feb. 7 at about 3 pm. He is scheduled for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick, on Feb. 20.
• Robert Arsenault, of 30 Glendale Ave., Melrose, MA, on a charge of underage possession of alcohol, on Feb. 7 at 11:40 pm at Judge Roy Bean.
• Scott Brackett, of 8 Federal St., on an active warrant issued by Sixth District Court, on Feb. 8 at about 1:15 am.
• Derek Grace, of 11 Atwood Ave., Cranston, on charges of DUI, first offense; and refusal to submit to a chemical test, on Feb. 8 at about 2 am. He is scheduled for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick, today.
• Meagan Girard, of 1 Mt. Pleasant Ave., on a charge of assault, on Feb. 8 at about 12 pm.

Other reports:

• A resident of DeWolf Avenue reported finding a dead opossum on her back yard. She reportedly told the responding officer that she had been instructed to place the animal in a bag and put it in the trash. While the officer was on scene, the resident received a call from the Department of Public Works asking her not to place the animal in the trash. The responding officer contacted the town's animal control officer and requested removal of the opossum.
• Officers responded to Mt. Hope High School on Feb. 6 at 11:10 am to a report of an intoxicated juvenile. He was turned over to his parent's custody.
• On Feb. 8 at about 5:30 am, a resident of Ellen Street called police and reported finding an intoxicated male sleeping in her home. Bristol Rescue personnel transported the male to Newport Hospital for treatment. The caller declined to file charges.
