Bristol Police Searching for Sexual Assault Suspect

Police said the man grabbed a woman's buttocks "very firmly" at a local CVS.

BRISTOL, RI—The Bristol Police Department is attempting to identify a man who allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks at a local CVS before walking out of the store.

Police said the incident occured on Jan. 31 at aroud 6:30 p.m.

The suspect allegedly walked down the cosmetic aisle toward a young woman before grabbing her buttocks ā€œvery firmlyā€ and continued walking.

The victim was startled and said ā€œexcuse meā€ before the suspect left the store.

The suspect is described as white with long, dark hair parted in the middle. He also had facial hair and was wearing baggy pants, a light-colored sweatshirt with the letters ā€œRWU,ā€ which stands for Roger Williams University, on the front.

It is unclear if the suspect was on foot or got into a car when he left the store, police said.

If an arrest is made, police intend on charging the man with second-degree sexual assault.
