Bristol Teen Slams Car Into House Amid Icy Road Conditions: Police

While turning on a curve, the driver lost control because of icy road conditions, left the road and struck the house, Bristol police said.

BRISTOL, RI — A car driven by a teen slammed into a home on Sherry Avenue in Bristol on Wednesday morning, according to police.

Around 7:52 a.m., Bristol police were called to Sherry Avenue for a report of a car crashing into a home. When officers arrived, they found a 2007 Toyota in the front yard of the house, police said.

Police said the front of the car caused structural damage to the front of the house.

The Bristol building inspector responded to assess the structural integrity of the home. After the home was deemed safe, the vehicle was removed, and a construction crew made temporary repairs to stabilize the house.

Police said the car was driven by a Bristol teen. According to police, the teen was driving north on Sherry Avenue from Perry Street. While turning on a curve, the driver lost control because of icy road conditions, left the road and struck the house.

Police said no injuries were reported.
