Bristol, Warren's 2022 Yard Waste Collection Schedule
With temperatures warming up, many Rhode Islanders are getting ready to clear out their yards and gardens.
BRISTOL-WARREN, RI ā Spring weather is finally here in Rhode Island, leading many residents to plan their gardens and start cleaning up yard debris from the winter months. Although the warmer temperatures appear to be here to stay, Bristol and Warren residents have a few weeks to wait before weekly yard waste pickup resumes.
Warren's curbside yard waste pickup will resume April 4. Residents can also drop off bags at the transfer station. Leaves, grass clippings, hedge trimmings and tree trimmings less than one inch in diameter must be placed in paper bags for drop off. Bags are available at the Public Works office for 30 cents each. In Bristol, yard waste collection will resume the week of March 28.

Residents are asked to place their yard waste at the curb with their trash and recycling bins on their regular pickup day. Waste must be placed in large paper bags or a trash barrel clearly marked "compost." Plastic bags will not be accepted. Branches must be bundled and no longer than 4 feet long. While yard waste will be collected from barrels, bags are preferred.
Bags and barrels must weigh 50 pounds or fewer, and barrels must be 35 gallons or smaller. Up to 20 bags can be placed at the curb, per week, or 10 barrels. Any yard waste that does not meet pickup requirements will be tagged.
