Bristol's Annual 4th Of July Concert Series Kicking Off

14 nights of concerts will be held at Independence Park in Bristol, leading up to the town's Fourth of July celebration.

BRISTOL, RI — Bristol's annual summer concert series kicks off Tuesday night, part of the town's weeks-long celebration leading up to the Fourth of July.

This year's concerts will be held at Independence Park, with 14 concerts scheduled from Tuesday to July 2. Kicking off this year's series is the 88th Army Band, with the concert starting at 7 p.m.

All concerts will be free to the public, and preregistration is not required. Animals and alcohol are strictly prohibited.

The concert schedule is below:

  • June 20: 88th Army Band, starts 7 p.m.
  • June 21: Sentimental Fools and the East Bay Wind Ensemble, starts at 630 p.m.
  • June 22: Colby James and the Ramblers and Keats and Company, starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • June 23: Mt. Hope High School Singers and 7-Day Weekend, starts at 6 p.m.
  • June 24: Loose Screws and Kate & the Mongrels, starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • June 25: Changes in Latitude, starts at 7 p.m.
  • June 26: Eric Bloom Band and Gerry Grimo East Bay Jazz, starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • June 27: Merchants of Cools and Patterson Smith Trio, starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • June 28: Bullet Proof and Alex Jackson, starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • June 29: DMB Project and Rusty, starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • June 30: Downcity Band and Jon Tyler, starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • July 1: Back in the Day, starts at 7 p.m.
  • July 2: David Clark's "All About Joel" and Liz Spencer Group, starts at 6:30 p.m.
