Car Theft Suspect Surrenders, Swans Take to Road
The following information was provided by the Warren Police Department. Where an arrest is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

TheĀ Warren Police DepartmentĀ reported the following arrests and incidents on Aug. 29 through Sept. 3:
Arrested:
- Ryan Patalano, 28, of 304 Metacom Ave., on a Sixth District Court warrant for failure to appear at a July 7Ā payment review on a charge of driving with a suspended license brought by Warren Police. According to online court records, Patalano made a payment on Sept. 3, and is due to appear at a future hearing scheduled for Sept. 17. He currently owes $499.50 in fines and court costs.
- Daniel Levine, 20, of 132 Water St., on charges of larceny, weapons possession, receiving stolen goods, conspiracy, resisting arrest, obstructing police, and being a fugitive from justiceĀ after he surrendered at the Warren Police Department on Aug. 30 at about 11:30 a.m. Levine is suspected in a number of car thefts that occurred in August. Also arrested on Aug. 28Ā in connection with the car thefts wasĀ Timothy Dubois, 20, of 132 Water St. Levine was ordered held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions following arraignment on Sept. 3. Dubois is serving five concurrentĀ 60-day sentences imposed after his Aug. 28 no-contest plea to larceny, stolen goods, and conspiracy charges. Judge William Clifton also imposed 10 months' probation and a 10-month suspended sentence, served concurrently, on each of theĀ five charges.
- James K. Nicolson, 35, of 1320 Hope St., Bristol, on a Sixth District Court warrant on Aug. 31 at about 2:30 p.m. following a car stop on Market Street.
- A Warren officer gave a verbal warning to aĀ man found taking recyclables out of town bins on Aug. 29 at about 6 a.m.
- Officers responded to two calls forĀ swans walking in the roadwayĀ on Schoolhouse Road on Aug. 30, the first at about 9:15 a.m. and the second at 6:40 p.m.
- TheĀ apparent theft of copper pipesĀ from a building on Main Street was reported on Aug. 31 at 5:15 p.m.
- On Sept. 2 at 10:10 a.m., a local officer reportedĀ finding a purse in the bushesĀ near Croade Street. The woman identified as owner of the purse said she'd lost it several months ago, and that she determined there wereĀ no items missing from it.
