Does Warren Need a Full-Time Economic Development Director?
The Warren Economic Development Board has requested $80,000 for the proposed staff position — what do you think?

At its meeting last week, the Town of Warren Economic Development Board approved a request to the town for a new $80,000-a-year economic development coordinator position, which now goes to the town council for consideration.
In an article posted online Friday, East Bay Newspapers quoted EDB Vice Chair Karen Dionne as saying the request is likely higher than the final salary will be, depending on the outcome of future discussions.

Board members listed 14 possible duties for the position, including oversight of the town's economic development efforts and creation of a marketing plan.
The salary request makes up nearly the entire $85,000 budget request for the EDB for fiscal 2014, according to eastbayri.com.
