BraytonĀ Point’s exhaust stacks were in the backdrop as the following gathered FridayĀ to release the report:Ā Rep. The report illustrates the scale of carbon pollution from power plants inĀ Rhode Island, inĀ New EnglandĀ and around the country.Ā The report comes as theĀ ObamaĀ administration readies a new set of rules to tackle global warming.

In August, Gallison wrote to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, urging the agency to protect his constituents fromĀ BraytonĀ Point’s emissions.Ā

The Massachusetts DEP is currently engaged in a compliance demonstration process for theĀ BraytonĀ Point facility to ensure thatĀ its emission aren’tĀ contributing to unsafe levels of air pollution.
