Bristol-Warren Snow: Parking Bans, Distance Learning For Students
Both towns will have parking bans starting at midnight, until further notice.

BRISTOL-WARREN, RI ā Rhode Island is expected to see its first real snowstorm of 2022 to end the week, with six to eight inches of snow expected to fall across the state from late Thursday night into Friday.
The greatest impacts are expected to be during the morning commute, when up to one inch of snow falling per hour will likely lead to minimal visibility and dangerous road conditions.

Thursday afternoon, Bristol-Warren school officials announced that all students will have a distance learning day Friday. Learn more about guidance and protocols for learning from home on the district's website. There will be no morning or afternoon activities or COZ Friday, Superintendent Ana Riley said.

In Bristol, a parking ban will go into effect at midnight Thursday and remain until further notice. During parking bans, all vehicles must be moved off of public streets to driveways or other off-street parking. Public parking is available downtown in the following lots:
- Cup Defenders ā 230 Wood Street, access from Richmond Street.
- Guiteras School ā Washington Street.
- St. Maryās Church ā Wood Street.
- State Street Lot ā Across from the Statesman Tavern
- Bristol Town Common- asphalt areas only.
- VFW ā Park in the spaces on the Creek Lane side only.
- Our Lady Mt. Carmel Church- State Street (Behind the Parish Center).
- Veterans Park- park in the lot on the East side of Wood St.
- Thames Street Lot (Prudence Island Ferry Lot) Between Rockwell Park & Firefighterās Memorial Park.
- St. Elizabethās Church Lot- Wood Street.
Drivers who opt to use the public lots must move their cars within one hour of the parking ban's end. Read more on the city's parking ban page.

On Friday, the Town Hall will have a four-hour delay and will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. All programs and classes at the Quinta-Gamelin Community Center have been canceled.
In Warren, a parking ban will be in effect from midnight Thursday until further notice. Trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day to Saturday. Warren Town Hall will have a delayed opening to noon.
Warren also allows residents to park in municipal lots during parking bans. These include:
- Behind Town Hall, between Joyce Street and Croade Street
- Burr's Hill Park lot
- Jamiel's Park lot
- Lot behind Miller Street rescue station on Narragansett Way
- Parking lot between Child Street, Market Street and Sanders Street
Vehicles parked in municipal lots must be moved within one hour of the end of the parking ban.
