BRISTOL-WARREN, RI — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Bristol and Warren for 2023.

We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Bristol and Warren, so you can start planning now.

Where: Bristol Harbor

When: 9:30 p.m. July 3

What: Parade

Where: Begins at corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street.

When: 10:30 a.m.

Bristol celebrates Independence Day on both July 3 and 4. First, there's the firework spectacular over Bristol Harbor on July 3. And on the next day, the July 4 parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Chestnut and Hope streets. Hope Street (Rt. 114) will be closed off beginning at 8:00 a.m., including Poppasquash Road. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Chestnut Street, Naomi Street and Sherry Avenue will be closed to traffic. A parking ban along the parade route goes into effect the night before the parade.
