Monday:Ā Franklin Court Assisted Living in Bristol kicks offĀ National Assisted Living Week with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. It's a great chance to see the facilities and consider your needs.
Also on Monday,Ā The Community String Project is takingĀ registrations for fall classes atĀ Hugh Cole SchoolĀ School starting at 6 p.m. Click the link for more information.
Tuesday:Ā Rick Benjamin,Ā State Poet of Rhode Island, visits Roger Williams University at 4:30 p.m. for the latestĀ RWU Talk in the Library. Hear Benjamin's thoughts on Rhode Island's literary tradition and history.
Wednesday:Ā Rogers Free Library hosts aĀ free showing of "Mud" starring Matthew McConaghey starting at 7 p.m. PG-13.
Thursday:Ā The Community String Project is takingĀ registrations for fall classes at Mt. Hope High School starting at 6 p.m.
Friday:Ā Or maybe it should be "Fry-day," in honor of theĀ Steak Fry and Pie Baking ContestĀ planned at Mt. Hope Farm starting at 6. Adults and kids menus available. $100 cash prize for first place pie. $10 entry fee for two pies.
Also Friday night, Linden Place hosts theĀ Rare Disease United Foundation for itsĀ 2nd AnnualĀ "Care for Rare" Silent AuctionĀ featuring a performance by theĀ Adam Ezra Group. Online tickets availableĀ for $50.
