Mount Hope Bridge Repairs Underway

BRISTOL, RI—Night work is underway on the Mount Hope Bridge, the state Turnpike and Bridge Authority said Tuesday. The work involves the Bristol approach (the north side) where slabs are being replaced. It will continue until Oct. 24. This means traffic on the bridge will be single lane from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Police will be on duty to direct alternating northbound and southbound traffic. Motorists should expect five to 10 minute stops periodically.
