Mount Hope Bridge Work to Run Through November
Bad weather pushed the repair schedule a bit.

Bad weather this week has pushed the pause button on construction work at the Mount Hope Bridge, according to the Rhode Island Bridge and Turnpike Authority.
The authority announced this week that the bridge will undergo repair work through Nov. 7 as a result of delays caused by very rainy and windy weather earlier this week.
During the work, there will be delays and lane closures, which will cause traffic since the bridge has only two lanes in total.

“The authority understands that construction delays [on the bridge] is not ideal,” the authority said in a news release. “However, we want to ensure that the bridge is as safe as possible for all travelers and thanks everyone for their continued patience during this time of construction.”
Police details and flaggers will be at the site directing traffic.
