No Need to Boil BCWA Water

The Bristol County Water Authority has not issued a notice that you need to boil your water.

The authority has been receiving calls because of a statewide notice published by the RI Department of Health regarding private drinking water wells, according to Executive Administrative Assistant Cidalia Harper.

All of the water supplied to BCWA customers by the authority comes from the Scituate Reservoir, according to a news release sent by Harper on Friday.

The authority does not operate any wells, Harper added.

Earlier this week, the Rhode Island Department of Health issued a notice advising private well owners to boil their water before using it.
