Bristol's Future...:Ā The town is hosting aĀ Vision for Bristol forumĀ Thursday nightĀ starting at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Church. It's the first of two public hearings on the town's upcoming revision of its Comprehensive Plan [which covers zoning and planning issues].
...And Past:Ā Also Thursday night, take a look back atĀ Madame Colt: Matriarch of Bristol, the story ofĀ Theodora DeWolf Colt, who was taken from her home at five years old, then returned 40 years later to reclaim her family home and rename it Linden Place. Lecture begins at 7 p.m.
Get a Bit of Blithewold:Ā You've walked through the expansive manse that isĀ Blithewold Mansions, Gardens, and Arboretum, and probably wondered how you might get your hands on some of the opulent decor. Saturday, Sept. 21, is your chance during theĀ Blithewold Furniture Sale scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon. These are undocumented pieces, many of which require upholstery and other repairs ā which means you'll get a great bargain.
