Road Milling On 2 Streets In Bristol May Cause Delays: Police

Bristol police said the work is being done to prepare to re-pave the roads at a later date. See when delays may occur.

BRISTOL, RI — Roadwork on two streets in Bristol on Tuesday and Wednesday may cause delays, Bristol police said Monday.

From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., crews will conduct milling work on Wood Street at Mt. Hope Avenue and State Street between Center Street and Reservoir Avenue. Police said the work is being done to prepare to re-pave the roads at a later date.

Police said detours will be in place when possible.

"We ask for your patience and understanding as you may experience minor delays," a Bristol police spokesperson said. "Thank you."

The roadwork will be conducted by Lynch Construction for Rhode Island Energy.
