Warren Police Log: Traffic Stops, Domestic Assault, House Break-In

The Warren Police Department reported the following recent arrests and incidents:

- Mitchell Baldwin, 24, of 174 Market St., on a charge of driving with a suspended license following a stop on Market Street, on Feb. 5 at about 4 pm.
- Roger Turner, 59, of 24 Third St., on a charge of driving with a suspended license following a stop on Market Street, on Feb. 6 at about 4:15 pm.
- Maryory Alvarado, 46, of 24 Martin St., on a charge of driving with a suspended license following a stop at Main and Water Streets, on Feb. 6 at about 8 pm.
- Justin Tavares, 23, of 67 Wood St., on a warrant issued by Second District Court, Newport, stemming from charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct, on Feb. 7 at about 10 a.m.
- Vincent White Sr., 49, of 116 Bishop Ave., Rumford, on a charge of driving with a suspended license following a stop at Metacom Avenue and Bee Jay Court, on Feb. 7 at about 6:45 pm.
- Michael Brum, 42, of 144 Grove Ave., East Providence, on a warrant issued by Second District Court, Newport, on Feb. 8 at 2:15 pm.
- Paul Borges, 38, of 60 Franklin St., on charges of domestic simple assault, refusal to relinquish a telephone, and domestic disorderly conduct, on Feb. 8 at about 11 pm.
Other reports:
- A resident of Bridge Street reported an apparent break-in on Feb. 4 at about 1:15 am.
- The owner of a home on Redmond Street told police that copper and tools had apparently been stolen from a van parked on the property on Feb. 4 at about 10 am.
- Officers responded to Metacom Avenue at Fatima Drive to assist a stranded motorist on Feb. 5 at about 12:10 am. The car was moved to a nearby parking lot, and the driver was brought home.
- The school nurse at Hugh Cole Elementary School called police to transport a sick child home on Feb. 5 at about 10 am since the child's mother did not have transportation.
