Warren Police Log: Pot Stop, Car Thefts, Canine Reunions, Found Ammo

The Warren Police Department reported the following recent arrests and incidents:

- Mohannad Aldaham, 23, of 176 Bayview Ave., Bristol, on charges of marijuana possession, first offense, and driving in possession of controled substances, following a traffic stop at Market Street and Joe's Road, on March 6 at about 12:30 am. Officers also arrested Abdulaziz Santali, 30, of 400 Metacom Ave., Bristol, on a charge of marijuana possession, first offense. They are due for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick, on March 15.
- Joseph Vieira, 49, of 40 Long Lane, on a charge of DUI, first offense, with BAC of .15 or higher, following an accident at Child Street and Arlington Avenue on March 7 at about 8:30 pm. He is due for formal arraignment in Sixth District Court, Warwick, on March 15.
- Terald Babers, of Joyce St., on a charge of disorderly conduct following a report of a domestic dispute on Greene Street on March 8 at about 5:30 pm.
- Angelite Soares, of Gallup Street, on a charge of driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop on Birchswamp Road on March 9 at about 9 am.
- Jessica Randazzo, of Wilson Street, on a charge of driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at Child Street and Metacom Avenue on March 9 at about 4:15 pm.
- Michaela Thomas, of Child Street, on a felony charge of writing fraudulent checks over $1,000 on March 10 at about 10 pm. Warren officers responded to the Tiverton Police Department to transport Thomas to the local station for arraignment. She is due for a court hearing on May 10.
Other reports:
- A resident of Prudence Lane on March 4 at about 1:30 pm reported the apparent overnight theft of items from a parked car.
- Officers responded to Prudence Lane on March 4 at about 5 pm for a report of prescription medication taken from a car.
- A resident of Locust Terrace called police on March 4 at abotu 8:30 pm to report two men in a gray truck going door-to-door in the neighborhood. The reporting officer noted the two men could have been "soliciting for a landscape company."
- A caller from Pennsylvannia Avenue reported finding a BB pellet-sized hole in a garage window on March 6 at about 9:30 am.
- Officers responded to Charity Drive on March 6 at about 4 pm for a report of a stolen GPS unit.
- Animal Control Officer Heidi returned a loose dog to its owners on March 7 at about 9:30 am on Buffalo Avenue.
- An unidentified resident went to police headquarters to hand in an undisclosed amount of ammunition he had found.
- Garrity also responded to Ellis Avenue on March 9 at about 9 am for a report of a loose dog. Garrity reported that the dog had broken loose from its chain, and returned the dog to its owner on Market Street.
