Where To Stay Cool In Bristol, Warren During Heat Wave
Temperatures are expected to reach the 90s, with feel like temperatures over 100 degrees.
BRISTOL-WARREN, RI ā Rhode Island is in the grips of yet another heat wave, with temperatures reaching the 90s and feel-like temperatures climbing upwards of 100 degrees in some areas.
During extreme heat, Rhode Island communities open cooling centers to give residents a place to sit in air conditioning and escape the brutal temperatures. The following local cooling centers come from the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency. Call ahead to ensure centers are open and for information about COVID-19 safety measures.
Bristol's cooling centers will be open Thursday and Friday, the police department said.
