Central Falls Residents Asked For Input On Stimulus Spending
A Town Hall Meeting is set for July 20 at 6:30 p.m., Mayor Maria Rivera announced.

CENTRAL FALLS, RI —The City of Central Falls is seeking input from residents on how to best deploy its share of American Rescue Plan funds.
Officials are hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, Mayor Maria Rivera announced. She said she wants people to step forward with their thoughts and ideas.

Central Falls was to receive $5.7 million in stimulus funds, General Treasurer Seth Magaziner announced in June.
Magaziner said that Rhode Island cities and towns may use the funding "for a variety of purposes, including supporting small businesses, helping students make up for learning loss, upgrading infrastructure and improving public health systems."

The federal legislation included a total of $560 million for Rhode Island's 39 cities and towns. The money was to be issued in several tranches starting June 29.
