Segue Postpones K–8 Ceremony; Morning Event for Legacy High School to Proceed

The Segue Institute for Learning, an independent public charter school district that includes Segue K–8 and Segue Legacy High School, has announced that the Segue K–8 renaming ceremony originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 22 will be postponed until later this fall.

While the afternoon celebration in Central Falls will be rescheduled, the morning shovel ceremony at Segue Legacy High School, 1080 Main Street in Pawtucket, will take place as planned.

Guests are invited for refreshments at 10:15 a.m., followed by a brief speaking program at 10:30 a.m. and the symbolic shovel activity at 11:00 a.m. Photos and closing remarks will follow.

“While we are eager to celebrate the renaming of our K–8 campus, we want to ensure that all of our students, families, and community partners can be part of the event,” said Angelo Garcia, Founder of the Segue Institute for Learning. “We look forward to announcing a new date later this fall for a celebration that truly represents the energy and heart of the Segue community.”

The upcoming renaming ceremony, to be held later this fall at Segue K–8 Campus in Central Falls, will include the unveiling of the school’s new name and logo, student activities, and family festivities.
