Woman Killed, Man Wounded In 'Targeted' Gun Attack: Cops
The wounded 19-year-old remains in the hospital, police said

CENTRAL FALLS, RI — A 19-year-old woman was killed and a 19-year-old man was wounded in a Saturday night gun attack, police said.
Officers sent to Washington Street near Chestnut Street about 11 p.m. to investigate a report of shots fired found the two wounded 19-year-olds, the Central Falls Police Department said in a media release.
The woman was dead and the man taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, "where he remains being treated for his injuries," according to the release.

"Preliminary information indicates that the shooting appears to have been targeted," the release said. "Detectives are actively investigating to determine the circumstances that led to this tragedy."
Police asked anyone with information on the shooting to call 401-727-7411.
