Charlestown is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Charlestown has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.

- Charlestown is home to the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge, which provides sanctuary for a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Take a hike on one of the many trails and see if you can spot a bald eagle or osprey.
- For a unique dining experience, head over to Charlestown Rathskeller Tavern, a former speakeasy-turned-restaurant/entertainment venue. In addition to serving up delicious food and beverages, guests can enjoy live music at Down Back, the tavern’s summer stage for concerts.
- The Kettle Pond Visitors Center, located in Charlestown, is a great starting point for anyone looking to explore the area's natural beauty. With hiking trails, wildlife viewing areas and educational exhibits, it's a fun and informative destination for visitors of all ages.
- For a fun day out with the family, head to the Frosty Drew Nature Center and Observatory. Stargaze through high-powered telescopes and learn about the wonders of the universe.
- The Charlestown Seafood Festival, held every August, is one of the most popular events in the area. People from all over the region flock to the city to enjoy live music, carnival rides and, of course, plenty of fresh seafood.
