The funding arrives as Habitat tackles its largest project yet, a 22-home development in Westerly, and follows years of volunteer support from bank employees amid Rhode Island’s worsening housing affordability crisis.
   

• Gluchacki Earns Coveted Kulwicki Cup (speedsport.com) — A national short-track racing competition has an unexpected Charlestown connection: winner Derek Gluchacki devoted part of his charity efforts to the Rhode Island Center Assisting Those in Need, a nonprofit based in town.
