Central Coventry Fire Fighters Urge Residents to Vote for Fire District Budget Tonight

Coventry, RI – The Central Coventry Fire Fighters Local 3372 announces that today, Tuesday, March 26, is the day for residents to vote for the fire district’s proposed budget. Residents are encouraged to arrive and start voting at 6 p.m. at Coventry High School and support the fire district.
If approved, the budget will fund the district for the remainder of the fiscal year.

“We are asking voters to support the proposed budget - to preserve the vital emergency rescue and fire services the district provides and to keep the district in operation,” said Dave Gorman, president of Coventry Professional Fire Fighters Local 3372.

Who: Registered voters in the Central Coventry Fire District
What: Budget vote to fund the Central Coventry Fire District for the remainder of the fiscal year. The proposed tax rate is $2.99 per $1,000 of assessed value.Residents will be voting only on the proposed fire district budget; no other plans or alternatives are up for a vote.
When: Today. Voting starts at 6 p.m. at ends at 10 p.m. Budget presentation starts at 7 p.m.
