Cahoone Road Bridge In Coventry Closed Due To Serious Deficiencies
Coventry town officials ask motorists to seek alternative routes, while the Cahoone Road Bridge remains closed until further notice.
COVENTRY, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) has closed the Cahoone Road Bridge in Coventry until further notice, town officials said Tuesday.
According to RIDOT officials, the bridge closure is due to "serious bridge deficiencies."
Town officials asked motorists to seek alternative routes. Town officials also said they will provide more information as it becomes available.
