Check Out This Weekend's Family-Friendly Events In Coventry
Enjoy ice cream and the Lego Movie 2 at the community center, the closing ceremony for the town's little league team and more.
COVENTRY, RI — With last weekend's heat a thing of the past, this weekend is shaping up to be a perfect one to spend outside with the family. The Coventry Parks and Recreation Department has a full slate of family-friendly events throughout the weekend that are free and open to the public.
On Friday night, the Coventry Little League team will hold their closing ceremony at Paine Field at 6 p.m. Just one hour later, enjoy live music and classic cars at the Town Hall Annex at 1675 Flat River Rd. A Rolling Stones Tribute band will perform throughout the evening.
On Saturday evening, Coventry Cub Scouts Pack 11 will host an ice cream social and movie night at the Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center starting at 6:30 p.m. The Lego Movie 2 will be shown and the event is free.

Throughout the weekend, come sign Babe Ruth Fall Ball at the community center. Come sign up in the lower level from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
