Coventry: Adult & Child Killed In Fire Friday
Fire Chief Frank Brown confirmed two people have died.

COVENTRY, RI—Fire District Chief Frank Brown confirmed two people have died in a house fire on Colonial Road on Friday night. The first alarm appears to have been sounded around 6:35 p.m., police said. It went to two alarms and has been put out.
Brown said he could not give details except to say the fire is under investigation.
Coventry police said the fire department found the house, which is at 22 Colonial Road, "well involved" when they arrived. An adult and a child are confirmed dead, police said.

Johnson Boulevard and Colonial Road were closed to through traffic during the fire, police said.
