Coventry High NJROTC Drill Team a Success

Coventry High School hosted a drill meet for the Southern New England Drill League on Saturday, January 21.

On Saturday, January 21st, the Coventry High NJROTC Hornet Drill Team hosted a home meet for the Southern New England Drill League. The meet was a resounding success for the newly established unit. The team won 2 first place and 2 second place trophies. Additionally, 7 cadets won medals for individual performances during the individual drill event - 6 during unarmed drill and 1 for armed drill. The winning cadets were C/LTJG Alexia Donnelly, C/LTJG Kalyn Amadon, C/CPO Keonte Fray-Roberts, C/PO2 Jacob Fernandes, C/PO2 Nick Dibiasio, and C/SA Adam Andrews in Unarmed IDR, and C/PO3 Ella Whitford in Armed IDR.

The team has one meet remaining, at Central High School in Springfield, MA on February 4, 2017.
