Coventry Man Caught With Cocaine, Meth, Fentanyl: Police
Coventry police said they seized 117 grams of cocaine, 91 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of fentanyl, and vials of testosterone.

COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man was arrested Wednesday after police said he was caught with cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and testosterone.
Julio Rivera, 34, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture and deliver cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine and possession of testosterone (schedule III drug).
After a months-long investigation, Coventry detectives executed a search warrant at Rivera's home. With the help of Police K-9 Nixo, ATF agents, and the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, detectives seized 117 grams of cocaine, 91 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of fentanyl, vials of testosterone, drug cooking equipment, drug packaging materials, and a large amount of cash, police said.

Rivera was arraigned Thursday in Kent County District Court. Police said he was presented in court as a bail violator stemming from the following charges in 2024:
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
- Possession of a firearm while delivering a controlled substance
- Possession of a firearm prohibited
- Possession of a stolen firearm.
Rivera was ordered held without bail.
