"These types of crimes often go unreported at the time of the incident; however, that does not preclude them from being reported now, as there is no statute of limitations for crimes of this severity," Police Capt. Ryan DeSisto said.

If you or someone you know was affected by Ouellette, Coventry police urge you to come forward and speak with the special victims unit by calling 401-825-6341 or emailing ppacheco@coventrypd.org.

"We understand that this is a sensitive and difficult matter, and we assure you that all reports will be handled with the utmost care," DeSisto said. "Our priority is to support and protect victims while ensuring a thorough and fair investigation."
