COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man won $52,080 playing Wednesday night's Daily Number game, Rhode Island Lottery officials said Thursday.

Lottery officials said the man played three numbers, 3, 1, 4, 0, which are special to him. He told lottery officials he "had a hunch" to play them, so he opted to wager $5 on two four-digit combo tickets.

The man won $26,040 on each ticket. Lottery officials said he purchased the tickets at Tiogue Food Store at 851 Tiogue Ave. in Coventry.
