Coventry Man Facing Federal Fentanyl Trafficking Charges
Authorities said they seized more than $100,000 in cash, more than 40 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, and drug packaging materials.
COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry man is facing federal charges after prosecutors said he was caught trafficking fentanyl.
Christian Rodriguez, 38, was indicted in federal court Thursday and was charged with possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.
Prosecutors said Rodriguez was involved in a drug trafficking organization that worked out of a stash house in Providence and supplied buyers in Southeastern Massachusetts. On April 22, authorities searched Rodriquez's homes in Coventry and the stash house in Providence and seized more than $100,000 in cash, more than 40 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, and drug packaging materials, prosecutors said.

Rodriguez is currently detained in federal custody.
