Coventry Man Wins $30K On Lottery Ticket He Got For Valentine's Day From His Parents
Rhode Island Lottery officials say the winner plans to save most of the $30,000, but he will give some back to his parents to thank them.
COVENTRY, RI — A $5 Valentine's Day present turned into $30,000 for one man, Rhode Island Lottery officials said Thursday.
Lottery officials said a Coventry man received a "Holiday Winnings 10X" scratch ticket as a Valentine’s Day gift from his parents. To his surprise, he won $30,000 on the game.
Lottery officials said the winner plans to save most of it but will give some back to his parents to thank them.

The winning ticket was purchased at Broadway Mart at 1049 South Broadway in East Providence.
