Coventry Opens Warming Centers To Combat Dangerous Temperatures

COVENTRY, RI — Frigid temperatures are in the forecast in Rhode Island, with wind chills below zero expected throughout most of Saturday.

Communities across the state, including Coventry, have designated warming centers aimed at helping residents stay warm.

The list of warming centers below was provided by the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency.

Coventry

Coventry Public Library: 1672 Flat River Road

• Monday to Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Thursday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.

Coventry Department of Human Resource and Senior Center: 50 Wood St.

• 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
