Coventry Police Find, Reunite Mini Horse With Owners

Coventry Police found the miniature chestnut horse near Hopkins Hill Road early Thursday morning.

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry Police were able to reunite a lost miniature horse with its owner Thursday morning. The chestnut pony was found wandering around in the area of Hopkins Hill Road and Flat River Road around 7 a.m.

Officers were able to corral the horse around 7:40 a.m., and it was cared for by Coventry Animal Control until the owner was located at 8 a.m.

Police did not say how the horse was able to escape or how far it wandered from its home.
