Coventry Student Earns DCU Scholarship
Digital Federal Credit Union awarded 80 scholarships to students across the U.S., and a Coventry student was the only one from RI to win.
COVENTRY, RI — Digital Federal Credit Union awarded dozens of scholarships this week as part of an annual program, including one to a Coventry student.
Courtney Grace True will be heading to college with help from DCU. The credit union has been giving out scholarships at the end of each school year for about 20 years, with awards totaling close to $2 million.
Scholarships were awarded based on academic performance, teachers' references, an original essay, awards and recognition, and extracurricular and community service activities. A panel of college educators judged the participants' entries.
