Coventry Tree Lighting Ceremony Planned For Dec. 1
Eight trees will be decorated by the graduating class of each of Coventry's schools.

COVENTRY, RI — The annual Christmas tree light ceremony for the town of Coventry is fast approaching.
Coventry Parks and Recreation Department will kick off the holiday season with the lighting of nine Christmas trees and the Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center at 6 p.m. on Dec. 1. The tree lighting ceremony will take place at 1277 Main St. in Coventry.
Santa Claus will also be making a special visit. He will arrive by fire truck thanks to the Central Coventry Fire District.

Eight trees will be decorated by the graduating class of each of Coventry's schools. One school tree will be announced as most creative that evening. Local school choirs will also sing holiday songs.
There will also be a letters to Santa craft station for children to create and write their wish list for Santa. All letters will be delivered to Santa at the Winter Wonderland event on Dec. 2.
