Coventry Woman Wins $10,000 On Lottery Ticket Her Sister Gave Her

Rhode Island Lottery officials say the woman will put the winnings towards her college tuition fees.

COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry woman hit big on a scratch ticket, winning $10,000, Rhode Island Lottery officials said Thursday.

Lottery officials said the woman won playing the "High Roller" instant game, a scratch ticket that retails at $25.

The scratch ticket was a gift from the winner's sister. Her sister bought the winning ticket at Alltown at 1050 Bald Hill Road in Warwick.
