Coventry Woman Wins $20K From Instant Win Ticket

COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry woman won $20,000 on a Rhode Island Lottery instant win ticket this weekend.

Joanne McGee said she "counted down the hours" until the lottery offices opened Tuesday after buying the winning ticket at Cumberland Farms on New London Turnpike in Coventry on Sunday. The ticket was a "Rhode Island Loteria" instant ticket.

McGee told lottery employees that she plans to put the money in the bank, to save for retirement.
