COVENTRY, RI — A Coventry woman recently won $40,000 on a scratch ticket, a spokesperson for the Rhode Island Lottery said Wednesday.

Lottery officials said the woman hit big when she played the "Rhode Island Super Loteria" instant game. She bought the winning ticket at Cumberland Farms at 295 Legris Ave. in West Warwick.
