Coventry Zoning: Meeting On Gun Range Set For Feb 13
The zoning board will hold the rescheduled meeting on Feb. 13 with an extra day on Feb. 15, if needed for testimony and deliberations.

COVENTRY, RI—Town Planner Caroline Wells said Wednesday the zoning hearing on the proposed gun range on Town Farm Road has been rescheduled for Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. Earlier this month, the meeting was postponed because the applicant was ill and asked for the delay. A previous hearing in December also had to be postponed due to a room occupancy limit. Dozens of concerned parents showed up concerned the gun range would be located too close to their children's elementary school. The children attend Washington Oak Elementary.
Wells said the zoning board will hear the matter on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at Coventry High, 40 Reservoir Road. Also, if the meeting does not wrap up in the usual time frame, the continuation will be held on Feb. 15 at 6 p.m., also at Coventry High.
