Crash Closes Coventry's Hill Farm Road, Knocks Out Power To 300

Coventry police asked drivers to seek alternates routes, since the road is blocked in both directions.

COVENTRY, RI — A crash on Hill Farm Road in Coventry knocked out power to hundreds of residents Thursday morning and closed the road in both directions.

Coventry police advised drivers to seek alternate routes, since the crash blocked the road in both directions surrounding the 200 block of the road. At 11:45 a.m., police said the road was still blocked, due to a downed utility pole.

National Grid's outage map showed that power was knocked out to 324 people in the area surrounding the crash.
