Coventry Public Schools are offering courses to help people become teaching assistants and para professionals.

COVENTRY, RI — Have you thought about changing careers — maybe to one that helps you make a difference in students' lives?

Coventry Public Schools are offering courses to help people become teaching assistants and para professionals. Teaching assistants and para professionals provide instructional and direct services to students under the supervision of a certified teacher.

If this career interest you, the courses will be offered at Coventry Public Schools at 1675 Flat River Road, beginning in February. The classes run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and are scheduled for Feb. 4, 6, 11, 24, March 4, 6, 11, 18, 24, and 25.

These courses cost $50 for Coventry residents and $225 for non-residents. Saturday is the registration deadline.
