Cyberbullying Presentation: Hopkins Hill School is sponsoring "Social Responsibility and Social Networking: A Journey Into Internet Safety and Cyberbullying" on tonight from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School auditorium (15 Foster Dr.). The free presentation features Dr. Lawrence P. Fillippelli who will provide information to parents and educators interested in protecting their children and students from online bullies and predators. For more information, see the attached flyer. Clutter Control at CPL: The Coventry Public Library will host a humorous and helpful program on "Clutter Control" tonight at 7 p.m. Expert David Downs entertain guests while teaching them how to energize their Spring housecleaning. CHS Early Dismissal Reminder: Coventry High School students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1, to allow for staff Professional Development.
CPEF Fundraiser Tickets: The Coventry Public Education Foundation is hosting a fundraiser from 4:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3 at ShelaLara Vineyards & Winery (21B Reservoir Rd.) to raise money that enables CPEF members to enhance the quality of education in Coventry. Tickets are $30 per adult (21+). The event will feature wine-tasting, tours, light appetizers, a silent auction, grab bags and a raffle. CCFD Status Update: Judge Brian Stern has scheduled a hearing for a status update from Central Coventry Fire District Special Master Rick Land to discuss any progress made regarding the foundering fire district's financial troubles. The hearing will be held on Friday, May 3 at 2 p.m. in Courtroom 4E at Kent County Superior Court (222 Quaker Ln., Warwick).
