Five Things You Need To Know Today, April 8

Today is Monday, Apr. 8, 2013 and here are five things you should know for today.

 

CCFD Hearing: The Central Coventry Fire District hearing postponed from Apr. 2 will be held today at 2 p.m. in Kent County Court (222 Quaker Ln., Warwick) with Superior Court Judge Brian Stern. This hearing will allow for existing motions to be heard in full as well as any objections regarding his decision on Friday to liquidate the district.

Town Council Meeting:  The Coventry Town Council will hold a budget work session at 6 p.m. followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m. this evening in the Town Hall Council Chambers. Click here to view tonight's agenda.

Plan Ahead - Celebration for Capt. Hall: On Thursday, Apr. 11 at 6 p.m. at Nino's on Lake Tiogue,  friends, family and colleagues of Central Coventry Fire District Captain Bill Hall will gather for a night of celebration as they salute Capt. Hall's longtime career with the fire district. The evening will include dinner and a DJ. Tickets may only be purchased at the door for a recommended donation of $20.
