Frontier Ends Seasonal Service To Denver From T.F. Green Airport
The Rhode Island Airport Corporation said it was "disappointed" in the airline's decision.

WARWICK, RI — Frontier Airlines will not offer service from T.F. Green Airport to Denver this summer, the Rhode Island Airport Corporation confirmed on Thursday. The seasonal service has been offered since 2017.
The airline has not said why the service will not return for the 2020 season.
"The Rhode Island Airport Corporation is disappointed with the decision of Frontier Airlines not to continue their summer routes from Providence to Denver this season," John Goodman, the airport corporation's director of public relations, said in a statement. "We know the direct flights from Providence to Denver were popular with residents of both cities, however T.F. Green Airport continues to connect with many mid-west hubs connecting to Denver and other cities to our west."

The announcement comes in the wake of several route cancellations at Rhode Island's only airport. In August, Norwegian announced that it would no longer offer direct service to Ireland, followed by Sun Country ending seasonal routes to several cities early in September.
Despite the cuts to the airport's offerings, Goodman said the corporation remains hopeful that other airlines will debut new routes.

"As was the case with Allegiant Airlines recent announcement to add service between Providence and Myrtle Beach after Frontier suspended their seasonal service to that city, we’re hopeful that other airlines will recognize the opportunity this development presents in the Rhode Island market," he said.
